The program featured interactive activities designed to inspire young minds while fostering connections between families. Through this initiative, BRAC University underscored its commitment to nurturing future generations and promoting mental well-being and education in alignment with the theme’s vision.

The celebration highlighted BRAC University’s dedication to nurturing young minds and reinforcing family bonds. The day commenced with children receiving handmade play materials crafted by BIED, designed to ignite their curiosity and creativity. Simultaneously, parents engaged in an interactive session led by MHPSS experts, gaining valuable guidance on supporting their children’s emotional and cognitive growth. This thoughtful approach reflected the university’s holistic commitment to the well-being and development of future generations.

Parents and children enthusiastically participated in hands-on activities such as toy-making and drawing, creating shared experiences that strengthened family bonds. A mesmerizing puppet-based storytelling session whisked the children into a magical world of imagination, followed by lively singing and dancing that filled the venue with laughter and joy. The celebrations reached a delightful peak as Professor Mohammad Mahboob Rahman, Treasurer of BRAC University and the Chief Guest, joined children and parents in cutting a cake to commemorate the joyous occasion of World Children’s Day.

Professor Mohammad Mahboob Rahman expressed his heartfelt appreciation, stating, “This event showcases BRAC University’s commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for children and their families to grow and thrive together. We are overjoyed to witness the happiness and learning this celebration has inspired.”

The program was also graced by the presence of Dr. David Dowland, Registrar, and Dr. Rubana Ahmed, Proctor, alongside Tahsina Rahman, Joint Director of Student Life. Dr. Dowland and Professor Rahman actively participated in the activities, engaging with children and parents to further strengthen the day’s spirit of connection, creativity, and joy.

Through initiatives like these, BRAC University reaffirms its unwavering commitment to shaping future leaders by fostering the holistic development of children and reinforcing the pillars of family and community care. Since its inception, the university has stood as a beacon of educational excellence, innovative research, and meaningful social engagement, continually striving to create a brighter and more inclusive future for everyone.
